Context

Healthy eating becomes complicated when every customer needs something different.

OG Nutrition is not a conventional food-ordering service. Its meal subscription model has to account for calorie and macro targets, allergies, health profiles, ingredient preferences, taste customisation and changing weekly schedules.

The challenge was to make that depth useful without making the customer manage the complexity behind it. The digital experience needed to guide a decision, preserve individual control and translate every selection into a service that could actually be prepared and delivered.

One Service, Two Digital Roles

The website explains the system. The app helps customers live with it.

Together, the two products create a continuous route from understanding the proposition to managing an ongoing nutrition plan.

The website introduces OG Nutrition's subscription and store pathways, its menu, nutritional transparency, preparation process, delivery model and the capabilities available inside the app.

The app carries each customer's dietary profile into meal discovery, live nutritional analysis, customisation, scheduling and subscription management.

Personalisation Foundation

A dietary profile that influences the whole experience.

Instead of asking customers to repeat the same decisions dish by dish, the app gives them one place to define calorie limits, macro goals, allergens, dietary requirements, health-profile presets and taste preferences.

That profile becomes working product data. It informs filtering, warnings, recommendations, automatic meal assignment and the choices surfaced during weekly planning.

As dishes are added, the product updates calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, net carbohydrates and overall macro balance. The interface makes the effect of each choice visible while there is still time to change it.

Ingredient details, dietary tags and allergy awareness sit close to selection rather than being buried after checkout. Complex nutritional information becomes part of an understandable meal-building flow.

Personalisation is only as dependable as the information underneath it. The product was supported by structured, reviewable nutrition data from recognised public sources rather than free-written marketing copy.

Ingredient migration

Preserve the catalogue. Strengthen the information.

OG Nutrition's existing ingredient catalogue was retained and reorganised into a clearer nutrition library, preserving useful product content while making the information easier to maintain.

Nutrition provenance

Nutrition values grounded in USDA FoodData Central.

Macro and micronutrient values draw on the public-domain Foundation Foods and SR Legacy datasets, giving the product a consistent external reference for its nutrition information.

Human review

Keep the information reviewable.

Source references and verification status remain connected to the ingredient data so information can be checked before it becomes part of the customer experience.

Health-Claim Logic

Health information grounded in recognised sources.

Health-related wording is grounded in recognised sources, including EFSA-authorised claims and the relevant European nutrition and health-claims regulations.

Classification and profiling systems such as NOVA, Nutri-Score and NRF9.3 are treated separately from authorised health claims. This gives the product a controlled evidence layer while keeping the information presented to customers clear and consistent.

Subscription Experience

Recurring meals without giving up control.

Customers can move from an individual dietary profile into weekly selection, delivery scheduling and location-specific instructions. If a subscriber misses a selection window, profile information can help the service assign a more suitable base choice.

The product also preserves a route for flexible, à-la-carte ordering. Subscription and store experiences sit within the same system without pretending that every customer has the same commitment or routine.
