Context

A formula is only the beginning of a product.

A specialist treatment can be technically sound and still remain difficult to introduce. The product has to feel credible in the hand, communicate clearly at first contact and give people a route into the science behind it.

For Heilen, the work connected the physical presentation of Healer™—its pioneering wound-healing ointment—with the technical and digital communication used to explain the product, its applications and its research.

Physical Product

Making Healer™ tangible and recognisable.

The physical product is where technical intent becomes an everyday experience. Its form, label and packaging need to carry the same clarity and confidence as the treatment itself.

We treated those elements as one expression rather than a set of disconnected surfaces, creating a consistent foundation for the way Heilen appears in use and in communication.

Connected System

One product story across every point of contact.

  1. 01

    Product expression

A clear physical identity for the treatment, carried through its format, label and packaging.

  2. 02

    Scientific narrative

A hierarchy that introduces the wound-care proposition clearly while preserving a route into mechanisms, applications and clinical material.

  3. 03

    Digital experience

A responsive brand and product platform that brings the treatment, pipeline and supporting information together.

Technical Communication

Turning a complex wound-care proposition into a clear hierarchy.

Heilen’s source material described Healer™ through its theory of molecular biocompatibility: a combination of organic and inorganic compounds intended to create an environment that supports the wound-healing process.

The communication system had to connect that technical proposition with practical properties and a broad set of stated applications—including acute and chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, bed sores, burns, surgical incisions and scrapes—without presenting every audience with the same level of detail at once.

Healer product overview describing its properties and stated wound-care applications.

Mechanisms & Evidence

Detail when the audience needs it.

The deeper material organised topics including re-epithelialisation, collagen synthesis, inflammatory response and the wound environment into a readable sequence.

Clinical material supplied by Heilen also documented two case timelines, from Day 0 to Day 12 and from Day 0 to Day 15. The design made that progression legible while keeping the distinction between product communication and independent clinical validation clear.

This case study documents Benefact’s product and communication work. Medical claims and clinical material originate from Heilen’s supplied product deck.

Digital Communication

Giving the science room to be understood.

The digital experience organises Heilen around its products, pipeline, science and research without turning the interface into a technical document.

Different audiences can begin with a clear product introduction and move into the level of detail they need, while the physical and digital expressions continue to feel like the same system.

01Products

A direct route into the treatment and its intended use.

02Science

Supporting context for audiences who need to understand the thinking behind the product.

03Research

A home for deeper material, product development and future evidence.

What the Work Established

A coherent foundation for the product to be introduced, explored and understood.

  • A recognisable physical productThe treatment, label and packaging read as one considered expression.
  • A bridge between product and brandThe physical and digital experiences communicate with the same visual and verbal logic.
  • A clearer framework for technical informationProduct communication can stay accessible without removing the underlying science.
